Scanning Acoustic Microscope (SAM) is a non-destructive imaging device that uses ultrasound as the transmission medium. Primarily employing high-frequency ultrasonic waves, it inspects various devices and materials to detect internal defects such as pores, cracks, inclusions, and delaminations, presenting them visually in graphical form. During scanning, the sample remains undamaged and its performance is unaffected, making SAM suitable for quality control of products including ceramic substrates, IGBTs, water-cooled heat sinks, electrical welded components, diamond composites, and carbon fiber composites.
