1. Deionized Purified Water

However, deionized water can easily become contaminated, making it challenging to maintain its insulating properties. It is suitable for non-direct contact liquid cooling systems. In case of leakage, deionized water can cause severe damage to powered equipment.

2. Mineral Oil

Mineral oil is commonly used in many mechanical systems because it is inexpensive and has good insulating properties. However, it is viscous, prone to decomposition, and can pose a fire risk under certain conditions.

3. Fluorinated Liquid

Originally used for cleaning circuit boards, fluorinated liquids are now widely used for cooling data centers and servers due to their inert, non-flammable properties and excellent insulation. Despite being the most effective, they are also the most expensive coolant option.
